Heating and Cooling Assessment -VT Flagship, Faslane Naval Base
PROJECT
To undertake a comprehensive review and assessment of the heating and cooling systems within the VT Flagship facility at Faslane, Argyll, with a view to reducing energy costs by improving operating efficiencies.
SOLUTION
Weatherite undertook an in depth assessment of all heating and cooling assets, plus control equipment utilised within the Faslane facility by VT Flagship. Upon completion, Weatherite provided a detailed report identifying equipment that needed repairing, or rebalancing, together with recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of the facility.
VT Flagship has a partnering agreement with the Royal Navy, enabling it to market the Royal Navy’s training capabilities to military and maritime customers, plus commercial industry as a whole.
Weatherite were awarded the contract due to their expertise and proven track record in this area. The sensitive nature of the operation, plus the fact that Faslane is a secure site, meant that Weatherite had to operate under strict security conditions through its assessment and reporting procedure.
VT Flagships were extremely pleased with the assessment results provided and Weatherite looks forward to implementing its recommendations in the near future.
