Jarvis Contracting/Hertfordshire Schools
PROJECT
To install new kitchen extract canopies at 18 schools across Hertfordshire, as part of a major refurbishment campaign undertaken by Hertfordshire County Council.
SOLUTION
The project, worth in excess of £300,000, included the supplying and installing, at each of the 18 schools, a new island kitchen canopy, extract ductwork, fan, electrics, gas and water supply.
Jarvis Contracting awarded WBS the contract due to their wealth of experience, excellent product knowledge and competitive prices. Carried out between October 2006 and April 2007, most of the installations were subject to a tight schedule to ensure minimum disruption to both teachers and pupils. Coupled with the added problem of asbestos on some of the sites, WBS were still able to meet the customer’s deadline demonstrating their ability to provide the best solution.
