Weatherite Lands £350,000 Schools Upgrade Contracts in Walsall
Weatherite Building Services (WBS), based in Aldridge, West Midlands, has completed contracts worth over £350,000 covering improvements to school heating and kitchen ventilation systems in Walsall.There were three schools involved in the heating projects which called for the upgrading of cold and hot water services and, says the company, resulted in significant energy savings.
At five other schools, Weatherite supplied, installed and commissioned canopies, extract fans and ductwork as part of its partnership deal with DeKobra, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of kitchen ventilation systems.
As part of the Midlands based Weatherite group, which specialises in the design and manufacture of packaged air conditioning equipment and air handling units, WBS provides a comprehensive range of building services and, at Walsall, Weatherite acted as main contractor working directly with the local authority’s establishment team.
“We now offer a single source choice to all members of the supply chain including project management, design, installation and commissioning facilities,” explains sales director Mike Turton.
“This covers not only air conditioning equipment but also ventilation, fire protection, heating, water and control systems.”
Other Weatherite products and services include control panels, electrical contracting, shopfronts and shutters, fire doors, rooflights and glazing systems.
Weatherite Building Services is part of the £40m Weatherite Group, one of the UK’s leaders in air conditioning and air handling equipment.
